Position Summary
The Project Manager/Estimator will be responsible for estimating, bidding and managing projects to close out (parks, sports fields, large landscape, and small site construction projects). This individual must be organized, computer literate (MS Office and estimating package) and strong written and verbal communication.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS |

• Representing Vizmeg Landscape Inc. through the bid process |
|
• Ensure profitability through preparation of competitive proposals |
|
• Solid understanding of project management and of managing labor and material costs |
|
• Maintain continuous interaction with company president and other managerial employees to ensure proper communication between office facilities and field work |
|
• Ability to negotiate bids, proposals, upgrades and maintenance of the completed project |
|
• Manage the ordering of materials from purchasing to billing |
|
• Schedule work, labor and materials appropriately |
|
• Ability to read a blueprint and make changes, accordingly |
|
• Manage the submittal process for projects and bids |
|
• Maintain continuous client interaction to ensure overall satisfaction and up to date progress |
|
• Responsible for billing for projects to reflect actual job progress |
|
• Ensure all extras are documented, accounted for and billed |
|
• Track progress and follow through with schedule |
|
• Strong analytical skills necessary to coordinate and manager several major projects at once. |
Experience
|
• College degree, preferable in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Landscape Architecture • Ability to read and manipulate blueprint |
|
• Microsoft Excel, Builders Exchange and Estimation program experience |
|
• Professional communication and professional appearance |
