Scholarships Awarded Each Year to Ohio Green Industry Students

Phil Kozel Memorial Scholarships

The Phil Kozel Memorial Scholarships are given in memory of Dr. Phil Kozel, professor of horticulture at The Ohio State University. Dr. Kozel was also director of the Shade Tree Evaluation Program and a long time ONLA supporter.

John Patrick Riepenhoff, III, Memorial Scholarships

The Columbus State Community College scholarships are presented in memory of John Riepenhoff, III. He was an ONLA president and board member as well as an avid supporter of the Columbus State Community College. He was the founder and president of Riepenhoff Landscape, Inc.

Southwest Ohio Environmental Horticulture Association (SOEHA) Scholarship

The Southwest Ohio Environmental Horticulture Association (SOEHA) made this award available by donating all organizational monies that remained after the group disbanded. The scholarship is awarded in honor of Lloyd W. Kennedy. One student is awarded per year, and the scholarship rotates between the Southwestern Ohio colleges (Clark State Community College, University of Cincinnati, or Cincinnati State Technical & Community College).
