Testing
Exams for the Ohio Certified Nursery Technician specializations
are offered
twice each year. The winter testing takes place every January
in conjunction with the Central Environmental Nursery Trade Show,
"CENTS," over a three-day period in Columbus, Ohio.
Each specialization exam is offered on a different day. The Garden
Center test is normally offered on Monday morning of the trade
show, the Grower test on Tuesday morning, and the Landscape test
on Wednesday morning.
The summer testing takes place
during the month of August. The summer testing is offered on
three separate days at three different locations throughout Ohio.
The first testing day is offered in conjunction with the Nursery
Growers of Lake County Ohio Summer Field Day. The location for
this field day varies year to year, but will always be located
in northeastern Ohio. A second testing day is offered in Columbus,
Ohio and a third testing day is offered in the Dayton/Cincinnati
area. All three specialization exams are offered at different
times of each of the three testing days. Dates, times, and locations
for the three summer test days vary from year to year.
