Eligibility Requirements
Anyone may obtain the Garden Center, Grower or Landscape training manuals. However, for an individual to take the examination and become an OCNT (upon successfully completing the exam) he or she must have worked six months full time or 500 hours part time in the green industry. Further, those firms who are required by law to hold either a Nursery Inspection Certificate or Nursery Dealer's License must have the required license in order for their employees to take the test.

Application Procedure
Applications for testing, along with location, date and time of each test, will be mailed to each person or firm purchasing any manual. The completed application for testing and the test fee must be received in the ONLA office by the date and time stated on the application form.
Your current employer or past employer must sign the completed test application, verifying that you have met the necessary employment requirements. You will be required to abide by the rules and regulations established by the Certification Committee, which governs the OCNT program.
